The Barnyard

Our demonstration barn and adjoining pastures is open to the public allowing everyone easy access to all the different animals we raise at Mapleton’s Organic Dairy. Come see our free-range chickens and turkeys, feed our calves and piglets a bottle of warm milk (during summer hours).  Stroll down the path to the pastures where you can visit our donkeys, Orly and Pinta from the Donkey Sanctuary of Canada.  Cherokee, a beautiful miniature horse, and Emma can also be found in the pastures by the labyrinth.

If you’re very lucky, maybe Erebus, one of three alpacas, will give you a kiss.  Little Bella with her not so little belly always comes to greet visitors followed by her little one named Beast.   Next to The Barnyard you’ll see our crop circle, which explains the crop rotation we follow in our fields. You can see the whole process from the crops grown in the fields which are used to feed the animals, the product the animal produces (eggs, fiber, meat and milk), which we in turn use to supply our store and make Mapleton’s delicious ice cream, frozen yogurt, and fresh yogurt!
