Educational Tours
(Group Tour info at end of page)

Mapleton’s certified organic farm is a family farm offering fun and education for all ages. Experience the whole process, from farm to table, that makes our organic milk, ice cream, and yogurt the best tasting anywhere. Ride the hay wagon, meet the animals in our demonstration barn and pastures, and learn about crop rotation at our “crop circle.” Visitors can also weave their way through a labyrinth, get lost in a two-acre cedar hedge maze, and in the fall, choose your favourite pumpkin.

At Mapleton’s, we produce great tasting ice cream and yogurt while maintaining an ecological balance on the land. In doing so, we nurture the earth, the animals grazing on it, and the families who share in the harvest.
Our farm offers many first hand experiences with animals:cows, pigs, chickens, donkeys, and alpacas. Learn about crop growing, composting, woodlands and of course ice cream and yogurt production.
We offer professionally designed education programs for schools and groups. Through hands-on experience, investigations, stories and games visitors see the family farm through new eyes. The programs we offer cover many aspects of the Ontario Curriculum for Science and Technology, Social Studies, and Geography.
School programs can be tailored to suit the individual teacher’s needs. Programs are also available for secondary school students on Agriculture, Food Processing and Production, Health, The Environment, Local Communities and Trade.
